Paddle-boarding in Noosa

We recently spent the weekend in Noosa with friends. I can’t believe it’s been years since we visited this beautiful part of South East Queensland – what were we thinking? It was a late decision to go away for the long weekend (Queen’s Birthday public holiday) so we struggled to find accommodation. We ended up staying in The Sebel at Noosa Heads, which was so-so. Hastings St at Noosa seems to be a lot better than I remember. There are now fairly lights in all the trees the length of Hastings St which has made a massive difference. With all the restaurants, bars and boutique clothes stores the place looks great and has a fantastic atmosphere at night. Mind you, it’s not a place to visit on a budget – there’s a reason everyone looks like they have just stepped off a yacht in Cannes.

This photo was taken from Noosa National Park looking out into the bay during sunset. It may look idyllic but shortly after that, it pissed it down!
