This weekend was the annual work weekend away. It was held at the Sheraton Mirage Resort & Spa on the Gold Coast. We’ve stayed there a few times now, including last Xmas. That was unusual – waking up Christmas Day in an hotel. Not sure it’s an experience we want to repeat, the place was packed. Anyway.. this weekend was good fun (even better when it’s all paid for!).

I took this photo strolling down Main Beach towards the skyscrapers of Surfers Paradise late Saturday afternoon. It was a beautiful sunset turning the sky bright pink. For me this is the best time of the day and I’m always amazed that there aren’t more people on the beach.
