With the weather nice again we went out and bought our first proper aussie BBQ yesterday. We couldn’t believe how cheap they are. We bought a 4-burner gas flat-top barbie for only $119 (£48). We bought it from Bunnings, which is basically the equivalent of B&Q in the UK. In fact, it seems to be an exact carbon copy of B&Q. Only the name is different. I’ve just had a look on the B&Q website and their equivalent BBQ is about £200! Anyway, the kangaroo steak tasted lovely!

Our next-door neighbours came round for a drink earlier – George and Julie. They’re from New Zealand and are new to Australia as well. We got chatting and it looks like I’m sorted for a golf partner!
